Notta Gallery + "THE FUTURISTS" + Fangs Again!

This Week's Welcome

What a weekend! As I said over on the socials...

Our Curiosities Expo has officially come and gone. What a day! People were there before it began and kept coming until the end. Sadly, we had some wind in the middle that decided to make some tents fly away and destroy some oddities and items. So, if you came after 1pm, some of the vendors, understandably, were no longer there. But! I was very excited about this event and the turnout! Thanks to all who came and supported these vendors! Thanks to all the amazing vendors who were a part of this! (Sorry about the wind!) Thanks to the @kitty_cat_lounge for having us and trusting us with your space! Thanks to @lun.aura.co for co-hosting this with me and encouraging me to pursue this specific idea! This has been one of my fave markets!

Now, many have been asking what's up next? Well, let me show you! :)

Featured Spotlight: Notta Gallery

Notta Gallery's "THE FUTURISTS" Exhibition debuted last Friday, and I made sure I was there!
Channon

The all new exhibition, "THE FUTURISTS", officially opened this past Friday evening at Notta Gallery! It runs from now through March 7th.

It's a collection of artworks that encompass our ideals, fears, and hopes for the future.

I will give you a taste of what I saw, but you need to see it in person to get the real effect. (I'll include as many artists names as I remember and you can click on the corresponding images to go to their pages.)

Opening night was also accompanied with beautiful music from Christine Collister! Her playing to the sounds of Pink Floyd caught my ear for sure :)

Notta Gallery is located next to Jimmy John's in downtown Lakeland at: 125 N Kentucky Ave # 103, Lakeland, FL 33801

The Hungry Games: Vampire Penguin (Again!)

Shaved snow. Check.
Dirty sodas. Check.
Soon, I will make my way through their entire menu!
Channon

Since last week's newsletter drop, I seemed to have returned to Vampire Penguin twice! But for something else... dirty sodas!

My first choice was Butter beer (root beer, butterscotch, and vanilla creme). Yup! A winner indeed!

I went back and tried the Dirty little secret (Dr. Pepper, coconut, pineapple, and vanilla cream).

I was very sat-is-fied!

Of course, their shaved snow is amazing! I've written about it a few times already. It tastes like no other "snow" places you've probably ever been to.

They also have some cool merch options + books by indie authors!

They are located at 216 E Pine St, Lakeland, FL 33801.

I'm not 100% sure of their hours, but I think they're around 2pm-10pm (give or take). Closed on Sundays.

If you make it out, let me know what you got... and think!
