​ ​ Juli of Crochet By Mocha drops by the LKLD | EDGE to speak all things crochet! Once I recognize “who” I’m talking to, I learn a lot about the inner workings of the world of crocheting!

First meeting Juli in a storm and purchasing my own Nessie, we get a chance to converse about when and why she got into crocheting, going from hobby to business, and her plans to expand in the future.

We also talk about the awkwardness of attending markets, panic attacks and choking to death, being introverted but still putting yourself and your business out there, and I learn a whole lot about the crochet community and how they test patterns, network, and more!

The Hungry Games: By The Chef Pizza

“ I already have my favorite pizza joints, but I went anyways, and we've now been three times in one week! — Chan "The Beard" Michaels

The family and I tend to eat pizza once a week. By The Chef Pizza was on the list, and I kept hearing about them and seeing them on Instagram. Then, my wife said, "Let's go see!"

For a woman who doesn't like deep-dish pizza, she said the pizza was "fantastic" and "this is my new favorite pizza place!" The kids said the same! It turned out, I was highly impressed as well...

I went back for some to-go, and then I took all of us back for a family dinner this past weekend.

Also, it didn't give me heartburn at all!

We got the special which is 8 slices for about $36 bucks! Each of us even got a beverage, and we walked in and out for under $60! That helps a lot these days cause fast food costs us that much or more... and don't get me started on restaurants costing us over $100!

All that to say, I'm glad I took a chance and went! One of the options was "The Shroom." It didn't look like something I would want. I'm not the biggest fan of cheese and it looked cheesy. I tried it anyways. It may be my #1! If you like mushrooms, then wow! Its description is: "Béchamel base, a mix of crimini, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms with thyme and rosemary, topped with mozzarella."

In the end, you can't go wrong! Check it out, and tell 'em that bearded guy sent ya! 🍕
